Heat the Olive Oil (3 tablespoon) and Butter (2 tablespoon) in a large rondeau pan over medium high heat.
Add the White Onion (1) and Canned Diced Tomatoes (2 can) and let it all come to a gentle boil. Let the mixture simmer for 25 minutes so it can reduce and thicken.
In the meantime, get a large pot of water on the stove to boil for the pasta. Salt it generously.
When the tomato mixture is done simmering, add the Heavy Cream (1 pint), Vodka (1/4 cup), Salt (1 pinch), and Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1 pinch).
Stir it in thoroughly and let it simmer for another 20 minutes to thicken and develop flavor.
After 20 minutes, add the Fresh Crab Meat (8 ounce) to gently poach in the sauce for 5 minutes more.
While that all happens, cook the Rotini Pasta (1 pound) in the boiling water for about 10 minutes.
Drain the pasta, transfer it into the pan of sauce and toss it all together.
Take the pan off of the heat and scoop the pasta into bowls. Top with the Parmesan Cheese (to taste) and serve!
