One-Pan Juicy Pork Chops with Onions and Apples

This pork chop with apples and onion is a simple dish to make but is packed with flavors! They are the perfect combination for any season of the year. Ingredients

Bone-In Pork Chops

Granny Smith Apple
•

Honeycrisp Apple

Medium Red Onion
•
1/2 tsp
Salt
•
1/4 tsp
Ground Black Pepper
•
1 Tbsp
Olive Oil
•
2 Tbsp
Butter
•
1 Tbsp
Brown Sugar
•
3 sprigs
Fresh Thyme , divided
•
3 sprigs
Fresh Rosemary , divided
•
2 Tbsp
Apple Cider Vinegar

Cooking Instructions

1. 
In a tray with Pork Chops (4) , season with Salt (1/2 tsp) and Ground Black Pepper (1/4 tsp) on both sides.
2. 
Slice Red Onion (1) , Granny Smith Apple (1) and Honeycrisp Apple (1) into thin slices.
3. 
In the large pan, heat the Olive Oil (1 Tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once hot, add pork chop and sear for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
4. 
Flip the pork and sear for 2-3 more minutes. Remove the pork and set it aside.
5. 
In the same pan over medium heat, melt the Butter (2 Tbsp) . Then add onion and apples. Cook until soft, about 5-10 minutes.
6. 
Add Fresh Thyme (2 sprigs) , Apple Cider Vinegar (2 Tbsp) , Fresh Rosemary (2 sprigs) , and Brown Sugar (1 Tbsp) . Cook for about 2 more minutes. Stir occasionally.
7. 
Bring the pork back to the pan. Warm the pork for about 2 more minutes.
8. 
Garnish with Fresh Thyme (1 sprig) and some Fresh Rosemary (1 sprig) on top. Serve

Author's Notes

The cooking time of the pork chop might need to be adjusted accordingly to the thickness of the pork chop.
