Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
In a stand mixer combine All-Purpose Flour (2 cup), Milk (1 cup), Baking Powder (4 teaspoon), Vegetable Shortening (4 tablespoon), Ground Cinnamon (1 teaspoon), and Salt (1 pinch). Mix on low until all incorporated and dough forms. Scrape sides of bowl as needed.
With a large scoop, scoop dough into even balls and place in a 9x13-inch glass dish.
Pour Maple Syrup (2 cup) over the balls of dough, then pour the Water (1/2 cup) over the syrup.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the dough comes out clean.
Serve with Whipped Cream (to taste) and enjoy!
