In a small saucepan, combine
Water (1 cup)
Granulated Sugar (1 cup)
. Place over medium-low heat and cook until sugar is dissolved. About 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
In a blender, combine sliced
Fresh Strawberries (1 1/2 cups)
and simple syrup. Blend until smooth. Store the strawberry simple syrup in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
Fill a cocktail shaker about ½ to ¾ full with
Ice (to taste)
Tequila (2 fl oz)
Strawberry Simple Syrup (3 fl oz)
Triple Sec (1 tsp)
Lime Juice (1 fl oz)
. Shake well - about 30 seconds.
Slice 1/4 inch off of each end of the
Limes (to taste)
and cut it in half, lengthwise. Set one of the halves cut side-down on the cutting board, slice it at an angle, lengthwise to make lime wedges and set aside.
Pour a few tablespoons of
Kosher Salt (to taste)
onto a small plate or shallow bowl. Take a one of the Lime Wedge and run it along the rim of your cocktail glass. Dip rim of cocktail glass into salt, pressing gently.
Strain margarita into the glass. Enjoy!
