Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Line a sheet tray with foil.
Ciabatta Bread (1 loaf)
in half lengthwise and then horizontally so that you have 4 equal pieces.
Butter (1/3 cup)
Garlic (2 cloves)
in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it until melted, for about a minute.
Evenly brush it all over the 4 pieces of ciabatta and toast them in the oven for 10 minutes.
While they toast, stir the
Fresh Crab Meat (1 lb)
Jarred Roasted Red Peppers (1 jar)
Fresh Basil Leaves (6)
Crème Fraîche (1/3 cup)
Old Bay® Seasoning (1/2 tsp)
Salt (1 pinch)
together in a bowl thoroughly.
When the garlic bread is done, divide the crab mixture evenly among the 4 pieces of ciabatta and spread it out in an even layer. Top each piece with two slices of
Pepper Jack Cheese (8 slices)
and return the sheet pan to the oven for another 10 minutes. The cheese should get bubbly and the mixture cooked through.
