Step 1
Cook the
Wright® Brand Smoked Bacon (8 oz)
. When cool enough to handle, crumble the bacon into small pieces.
Step 2
In a large sauce pan, melt
Butter (3 Tbsp)
and Jet Puffed cinnamon bun
Kraft® Jet-Puffed Cinnamon Bun Marshmallows (5 cups)
over low heat. Stir until completely melted.
Step 3
Remove from heat and add
Ground Cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
,
Pure Maple Syrup (1 Tbsp)
,
Maple Essence (1 tsp)
, and crumbled bacon. Stir until completely mixed.
Step 4
Then add the
Rice Krispies® Cereal (6 cups)
. Mix until all is well incorporated.
Step 5
Then pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan or cookie sheet and spread it evenly with a piece of waxed paper. Place in fridge to cool and set.
Step 6
Place
Hershey's® Special Dark Chocolate Chips (2 cups)
in a double boiler (or a glass bowl that fits snugly over your pot) filled with water.
Step 7
Bring water to a simmer on medium heat. Once chocolate starts melting, stir constantly with a rubber spatula until all chocolate is melted and has a smooth consistency.
Step 8
Remove from heat and pour the chocolate over the cooled Rice Krispies and spread evenly with the spatula. Allow the chocolate to cool a bit, then sprinkle lightly with
Sea Salt (1 tsp)
if desired. Place treats back in fridge to set completely.
Step 9
Once the chocolate has solidified, cut it into squares. Enjoy!
