Author's Notes

If you are not enjoying the bacon right away, store them in a sealed container in the fridge. When ready to serve heat 1 Tbsp of oil or vegan butter in a skillet over medium heat. In batches, add bacon strips and fry until crispy. Keep in mind that they will crisp up a bit when taken off the heat.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone baking sheet. Grease the paper or mat with Nonstick Cooking Spray (as needed) .
Step 2
In a shallow baking dish, whisk together Nutritional Yeast (2 Tbsp) , Garlic Powder (1 Tbsp) , Smoked Paprika (1/2 Tbsp) , Liquid Smoke (1 tsp) , Maple Syrup (3 Tbsp) , Olive Oil (1 Tbsp) , Tamari Soy Sauce (3 Tbsp) , MSG (1/2 Tbsp) , and Water (1/4 cup) to make the marinade.
