Author's Notes

If you are not enjoying the bacon right away, store them in a sealed container in the fridge. When ready to serve heat 1 Tbsp of oil or vegan butter in a skillet over medium heat. In batches, add bacon strips and fry until crispy. Keep in mind that they will crisp up a bit when taken off the heat.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone baking sheet. Grease the paper or mat with Nonstick Cooking Spray (as needed).

In a shallow baking dish, whisk together Nutritional Yeast (2 Tbsp), Simply Organic Garlic Powder (1 Tbsp), Smoked Paprika (2 tsp), Liquid Smoke (1 tsp), Maple Syrup (3 Tbsp), Olive Oil (1 Tbsp), Tamari Soy Sauce (3 Tbsp), MSG (1 tsp), and Water (4 Tbsp) to make the marinade.
