Step 1
In a large pot, add
Water (3/4 cup)
,
Salt (1 pinch)
and the
White Rice (1 cup)
and place on low heat.
Step 2
While the rice is cooking, peel an Orange. Make sure to peel as little of the white pith as possible since it will give your pudding a bitter flavor.
Step 3
Once the rice has cooked a bit, add the
Milk (4 cups)
,
Evaporated Milk (2 cups)
,
Orange (1)
,
Cinnamon Stick (1)
, and the
Cream (2 cups)
.
Step 4
After 10 minutes, remove the cinnamon stick and orange peel. Let it all cook together for about 2 hours on low heat.
Step 5
About 10 minutes before removing it from the stove, add the
Butter (1/2 cup)
,
La Lechera® Sweetened Condensed Milk (1 1/4 cups)
, and the
Granulated Sugar (1/3 cup)
.
Step 6
Stir constantly for the last 5-10 minutes until all the ingredients have mixed in completely.
Step 7
Place the rice pudding in a container where it can cool off and sprinkle
Ground Cinnamon (to taste)
. Optionally, you can add some sugar on top and blow torch it to create a nice crust. Serve and enjoy!
