Step 1
Grab one can of
Chickpeas (1 can)
and rinse them from their water, this way you will remove most of the salt in it.
Step 2
Place chickpeas,
Tahini (1 Tbsp)
,
Ground Cumin (1 tsp)
, 1 Tbsp of
Lemon Juice (1)
,
Salt (1/2 tsp)
, and
Garlic (2 cloves)
in a blender.
Step 3
Grab the
Beets (1 3/4 cups)
and add that to the blender together with a bit of its boiling water.
Step 4
Start blending adding
Water (2 Tbsp)
, plus more if needed. After a few minutes, with your blender on, add the
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (2 Tbsp)
slowly.
Step 5
Once you have got a smooth and creamy consistency, transfer your hummus into a serving bowl and bring it up to your dining table with
Pita Bread (to taste)
and
Mixed Vegetables (to taste)
