Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 2
In a large bowl, stir together the All-Purpose Flour (2 cups) , Granulated Sugar (1 3/4 cups) , Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1 cup) , Baking Powder (1 tsp) , and Salt (1/2 tsp) .
Step 3
Pour in Water (1 cup) , Apple Sauce (1/4 cup) , and Canola Oil (1/2 cup) . Mix until well blended. Spread evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
Step 4
In a small bowl, stir together the Cream Cheese (1 cup) , Powdered Confectioners Sugar (3/4 cup) , and Vanilla Extract (1/2 Tbsp) . Microwave on high for 10-15 seconds, or until soft and easy to pour.
Step 5
Pour evenly over the brownie batter. Drop Nutella® (1/3 cup) by the spoonful on top as well, and make swirls in the batter with a knife. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
