Quickly torch the duck skin, then slice the Duck Meat (1.1 lb) into pieces.

Fry Duck Fat (1/2 cup) in a hot pot, add Granulated Sugar (1 Tbsp) , Garlic (1 clove) , Onions (2) , Fresh Ginger (1 Tbsp) , Chili Peppers (5) , and Star Anise (3) .
Step 3
Add duck, Fish Sauce (1 Tbsp) , Vietnamese Spice Blend (1 tsp) , Salt (1/2 tsp) , and Granulated Sugar (1/2 Tbsp) . Mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Prepare a bedding of Fresh Basil (1 cup) and serve the duck on the plate.
