Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add
Light Soy Sauce (1/4 cup)
,
Mirin (3 Tbsp)
,
Fish Sauce (2 Tbsp)
,
Dark Brown Sugar (3 Tbsp)
,
Garlic (2 cloves)
,
Fresh Ginger (1 tsp)
,
Ground Black Pepper (1 tsp)
, and
Sesame Oil (3 Tbsp)
. Mix well.
Step 3
In the same bowl, add in
Flat Iron Steak (1.5 lb)
and mix until evenly coated. Marinade in the fridge for 30 minutes for a better result, or cook it straight away.
Step 4
Add
Yellow Onion (1)
to a baking sheet and layer the meat on top.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the beef is slightly charred.
Step 6
Garnish with
Scallions (2 Tbsp)
and
Sesame Seeds (2 Tbsp)
. Enjoy with rice or make them into lettuce wraps!
