Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add the
Butter (2 cups)
,
Fresh Chives (1/2 cup)
,
Fresh Parsley (1/2 cup)
,
Fresh Oregano (1/4 cup)
,
Garlic (8 cloves)
,
Salt (to taste)
,
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
, and
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1 tsp)
. This also can be done in a food processor.
Step 3
Using a bread knife, slice the
Baguettes (3)
. Cut about 2/3 of the way through the bread with a 2-inch gap between each slit, making sure not to cut all the way through.
Step 4
Smear about 2 Tbsp of the herb butter mixture into each section.
Step 5
Wrap each baguette in aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Step 6
Unwrap and bake for another 3-4 minutes until the baguette is crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Serve warm.
