Step 1
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the
Unsalted Butter (2 1/2 Tbsp)
and add
Yellow Onions (1 1/2)
.
Step 2
Sauté for 5 minutes and season with
Salt (to taste)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
and cook until nicely browned. Be careful to keep the heat steady to not burn the onions. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Step 3
In a medium bowl add
Italian Seasoning (1 tsp)
,
Garlic Powder (1 tsp)
,
All-Purpose Flour (3/4 cup)
, and
Cayenne Pepper (1 tsp)
. Mix well.
Step 4
Season
Bone-In Pork Chops (4)
with
Salt (to taste)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
. Place the pork chop into the seasoned flour and shake off any excess flour. You want the coating on the pork chop to be thin.
Step 5
In a large skillet, heat
Vegetable Oil (3/4 cup)
over medium heat. Once the oil is heated, add the pork chops and fry on each side until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Step 6
Once done, place the pork chops on a wire cooling rack to drain the oil.
Step 7
On
Hamburger Buns (4)
, spread
Mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
and
Dijon Mustard (1/2 cup)
on top and bottom of each. Top with a pork chop and browned onions.
Step 8
Gently press the top buns onto each sandwich and serve immediately.
