Step 1
Lay out the
Chicken Wings (2.5 lb)
on a rack and let them dry out. Season with
Salt (to taste)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)

Step 2
Add
Canola Oil (as needed)
to your deep fryer or frying pot. Place your wings in one at a time but don't overcrowd the oil. Cook until golden brown between 15-18 minutes. Remove to a large baking tray and set aside.
Step 3
In a sauce pan over high heat melt the
Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup)
.
Step 4
Once the butter is melted, add
Garlic (1 Tbsp)
,
Hot Sauce (1 cup)
,
Ketchup (1/4 cup)
,
Soy Sauce (1 Tbsp)
,
Granulated Sugar (1 1/2 Tbsp)
and bring up to boil.
Step 5
Place the lid on, reduce the heat to simmer the sauce for around 5 minutes and turn the heat off.
Step 6
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 7
Place the chicken wings into the sauce and mix to coat each wing in sauce. Then place the chicken wings back in the baking tray.
Step 8
Place in your preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Repeat by coating in sauce again and baking in the oven for another 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
