Author's Notes

Sweet Swap: Omit the coarse salt and coat the dough balls with a mixture of cinnamon & sugar. Serve while warm with a side of Nutella.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Roll cherry-size pieces of Pizza Dough (1 lb) , about 1/2-ounce each, into balls.
Step 3
Add Baking Soda (1/3 cup) to the water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Drop the balls into the boiling Water (5 cups) . Cook for 1 minute or until slightly puffed.
Step 4
With a slotted spoon, remove the balls from the water and place them on paper toweling. Transfer them to the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1/2-inch apart.
Step 5
Beat the Large Egg (1) and brush the tops with it, then sprinkle with the Coarse Salt (to taste) . Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
Step 6
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with Scallions (to taste) , if desired. Serve with your favorite Whole Grain Mustard (to taste) or some cheese dip.
