Step 1
Into a mixing bowl, add
Medium Shrimp (12 oz)
,
Salt (1/4 tsp)
,
Garlic (1/2 tsp)
,
Fresh Ginger (1/4 tsp)
,
Ground Black Pepper (1/2 tsp)
, and
Onion (1)
. Stir to combine.
Step 2
Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling into the center of each of the
Wonton Wrappers (1 pckg)
. Brush the edges of the wonton wrappers with water, then fold them in half and press the edges to seal.
Step 3
Press down around the filling. Bring the right corner around in front of the left corner and press the two together.
Step 4
Bring a pot of
Water (5 cups)
to a boil. Cook the wontons for 2 1/2 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon.
Step 5
Discard the water and add
Chicken Stock (4 cups)
to the pot. Add the wontons and bring the stock to a boil. As soon as it comes to a boil, remove the pot from the heat.
Step 6
Garnish wontons with
Scallions (to taste)
and
Crispy Wonton Strips (to taste)
