Author's Notes

For the best results, brush the bacon with maple syrup toward the end of cooking to allow it to caramelize without burning.
The maple bacon can be prepared in advance and gently reheated before serving. Assemble the potato slices just before serving to maintain their crispiness.
Alternative oven method
Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange frozen potato slices in a single layer on a non-stick baking sheet or shallow baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes, flip and continue baking for an additional 11–15 minutes, until golden and crispy. Top with sour cream, maple bacon and chives as directed above.

step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange Bacon (4 slices) slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, then flip. Brush with Pure Maple Syrup (1 Tbsp) and return to the oven for 2–3 minutes, or until caramelized and crispy.
step 2
Remove bacon from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining Pure Maple Syrup (1 Tbsp). Allow to cool slightly, then roughly chop.
step 3
Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes. Place McCain™ Craft Beer Battered Potato Slices (12) in the basket, filling no more than one-third full. Air fry for 15–17 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until golden and crispy.
step 4
Arrange the hot potato slices on a serving platter. Top each with a dollop of Sour Cream (1/3 cup), a generous sprinkle of chopped maple bacon and Fresh Chives (2 Tbsp). Serve immediately.
