Anytime Mango Mojito

Learn how to make a refreshing mango mojito. If you omit the rum it's also perfect for the kids (and people who don't consume alcohol) on those hot summer days. This mojito recipe is based on the mojito I had in Havana Cuba many years ago.

step 1
Peel and cut the Mango (1) into chunks and puree in your blender along with the Fresh Ginger (1/2 tsp), Granulated Sugar (1/2 cup), and Water (1/4 cup).
step 2
In a large bowl or the jug, you’ll be serving this in, place the Fresh Mint Leaves (to taste), cut one of the Lime (1) into pieces, and place in there as well, along with pieces of skin peel from the Oranges (to taste). Then using a pestle or a bartending kit, press down to bruise everything so they release their natural oils and juices.
step 3
Now squeeze in the other Lime (1) and top with the mango puree. If you are making this drink alcoholic, now is the time to add the White Rum (3/4 cup), even though I skip that step. Then all you have to do now is add the Soda Water (4 cups) and stir to combine.
step 4
Place a couple of Fresh Mint Leaves (to taste), a slice or two of peel from the Oranges (to taste), twist to release the fragrant oils, some crushed ice, and top with the virgin mango mojito to serve.
