Step 1
Combine the Milk (1/2 cup) , Water (1/2 cup) , Quick Cooking Oats (1/2 cup) , Vanilla Extract (1/4 tsp) , and Salt (1/8 tsp) in a medium pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and whisk for about 3-5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken.
Step 2
Thinly slice the medium Banana (1/2) and whisk it in, "whipping" the oatmeal to a creamy texture. Add more milk if needed to achieve the desired consistency. Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes, or until the oats are creamy.
Step 3
Chop the Coconut Almonds (to taste) and Dried Persimmons (to taste) .
Step 4
Serve the oatmeal immediately, topped with Dark Brown Sugar (1/2 Tbsp) and the chopped garnishes.
