Step 1
Place Sandwich Bread (2 slices) on a cutting board and spread Mayonnaise (2 Tbsp) over top side of each.
Step 2
Heat a small non-stick skillet over medium. Slide in half of Unsalted Butter (1/2 Tbsp)
Step 3
When it melts, place 1 slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, in skillet. Top with American Cheese Slices (4) and season with Ground Black Pepper (to taste) .
Step 4
Top with second slice of bread, mayonnaise side up.
Step 5
When underside is golden brown, about 4 minutes, turn sandwich and add remaining Unsalted Butter (1/2 Tbsp) to skillet. Press down on sandwich to encourage even browning and to help melt cheese. Cook until second side is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Step 6
Eat immediately. Enjoy!
