Step 1
Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil.
Step 2
Add the Ziti Pasta (1 box) and cook until al dente for about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, add the Onion (1) , Lean Ground Beef (1 lb) , and Garlic (3 cloves) . Cook over medium heat, stirring until beef is no longer pink. Season with Salt (1/2 tsp) and Ground Black Pepper (1/2 tsp) .
Step 4
Add Pasta Sauce (2 jars) and simmer for 15 minutes. During this time, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 5
Begin to make layers inside the baking dish. First, use half of the cooked ziti.
Step 6
Next, top the ziti with the Provolone Cheese (8 slices) .
Step 7
Spread the Sour Cream (1 1/2 cups) over the provolone.
Step 8
Add half of the sauce mixture on top of that.
Step 9
Add the remaining ziti followed by the Mozzarella Cheese (1 1/2 cups) .
Step 10
Add the remaining sauce mixture and top with the Parmesan Cheese (1/4 cup) . Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
Step 11
Let it cool for 10 minutes, then serve, either in slices or scoops! Top with Fresh Parsley (to taste) if desired.
