Author's Notes

When eating your Yoda cupcake be sure to remove the ears.
Cooking InstructionsHide images
step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and fill a cupcake tin with liners.
step 2
Using a hand or stand mixer beat together Unsalted Butter (1 1/3 cups) and Granulated Sugar (1 1/2 cups) until light and fluffy.
step 3
Add in the Farmhouse Eggs® Large Brown Eggs (3) one at a time, continuing to beat.
step 4
Mix in the Baking Soda (1/2 Tbsp), Salt (1 tsp), and Vanilla Extract (1 Tbsp) and mix for about 3 minutes, until fluffy and totally combined.
step 5
Using a spatula, add in half of the All-Purpose Flour (2 1/3 cups) and mix to combine. Then add the Whole Milk (1 1/2 cups) in batches, mix slightly after each pour. Mix until combined and then add in the rest of the flour. Mix just until combined, but do not overmix.
step 6
Evenly divide the cake batter between cupcake tins. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
step 7
Let the cupcakes cool in the pans for 5 minutes, and then turn them out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
step 8
Once cooled, use a knife to carve a circular, 1-inch deep piece out the top of the cupcake in the shape of a cone. This can be roughly 1 inch, a little more or less is perfectly fine as long as you don’t cut through to the bottom. Carefully slice off 3/4 of the cone, so that all that’s remaining is a small “cover” for the hole.
step 9
Fill the hole with Sprinkles (1 cup) or candies. Press the top of the cone back into the hold to cover and then chill in the fridge.
step 10
Separate the Vanilla Frosting (3 cups) into 3 medium mixing bowls. To make the green frosting, combine 3 drops of Green Food Coloring (as needed), 1 drop of Black Food Coloring (as needed), and 1 drop of Yellow Food Coloring (as needed). To make the brown frosting, combine 2 drops of Brown Food Coloring (as needed) and 1 drop of Black Food Coloring together.
step 11
To frost Yoda, cover half of the cupcake in brown frosting and the other half with green. Use a knife to smooth the top. Cut a whole Large Marshmallows (6) in half and then in half again. Using a toothpick, stick the cut marshmallow into the green side of the cupcake to form the ear, repeat with the other marshmallow. Gently frost over the ears with more green frosting until completely covered.
step 12
To frost Princess Leia, cover the whole cupcake with white frosting. Use a knife to smooth the top. Use brown frosting to frost her hair by swooshing her bangs onto the top of the cupcake. Place a Rolo® Chocolate Candies (12) on each side for her buns.
step 13
To frost Chewbacca, cover the whole cupcake with brown frosting. Use a fork to create a fur-like texture. To form his belt use pieces of Black Licorice Candy (6) and White Sugar Pearl Sprinkles (24). Alternate the two until the belt stretches the full diagonal length of the cupcake.
step 14
Serve to the Jedi or Sith of your choosing…May the Force be with you.
