Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Spray an 8x12-inch baking sheet with vegetable spray and line the bottom with parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 2
Spread the
Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (2 cups)
and
Pecans (1 1/2 cups)
in an even layer on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Set aside.
Step 3
Reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Step 4
In a small bowl, stir together the
Ground Cinnamon (1 tsp)
,
Ground Ginger (1/4 tsp)
,
Ground Nutmeg (1/2 tsp)
,
Ground Allspice (1/8 tsp)
,
Ground Cloves (1/8 tsp)
, and
Kosher Salt (1/4 tsp)
. Set aside.
Step 5
In a small saucepan over medium heat combine the
Butter (3 Tbsp)
,
Honey (1/2 cup)
and
Brown Sugar (1/4 cup)
, stirring constantly until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved. Stir in the
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
and the spice mixture and set aside.
Step 6
Transfer the oats and pecans to a large bowl. Add the
Wheat Germ (1/2 cup)
,
Pepitas (3/4 cup)
and
Golden Raisins (1 cup)
and toss to combine. Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir until well coated.
Step 7
Pour the granola mixture into the prepared pan and press evenly and firmly into the pan. Bake the granola for 25 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown.
Step 8
Remove from oven and cool to room temperature. This will take 2 to 3 hours.
Step 9
Remove from the pan and cut into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
