Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Bring Water (4 1/2 cups) to a light boil. Add Ground Turmeric (1/2 Tbsp) and Fresh Ginger (1 Tbsp) , and let it boil again, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Simmering will extract the beneficial compounds from the turmeric and ginger.
Step 2
Remove from the stove and let it cool a bit. Then strain the liquid using a mesh strainer or cloth to get rid of excess ginger.
Step 3
Pour the rest of the liquid into a pitcher along with the juice from Lemons (1 1/4) , Lemon Extract (1 tsp) if using, and Raw Honey (2 Tbsp) and mix. Garnish with slices of Lemons (to taste) and Fresh Mint Leaves (to taste) . Store in the fridge.
