Step 1
Zest the peel of one
Navel Orange (1)
. Juice the orange after the peel has been zested. This should give you enough zest and juice for the recipe.
Step 2
In a large saucepan melt
Butter (3 Tbsp)
over low heat. Add in orange juice, zest, and
Vanilla Extract (1/2 tsp)
.
Step 3
Add the
Mini Marshmallows (5 2/3 cups)
and
Crispy Rice Cereal (6 cups)
. Stir until marshmallows are melted and cereal is coated.
Step 4
Cover 9x13 inch pan with
Nonstick Cooking Spray (as needed)
. Drop in the cereal mixture and spread evenly in the pan. Press down the top of the bars with a sheet of parchment paper to make them flat. Let cool for two hours.
Step 5
Once the mixture cools you can use holiday cookie cutters to create festive shapes.
