Hiyayako (冷奴 cold tofu) is a traditional Japanese dish that is usually served during the summer time. It is not only easy to make, but is also a healthy dish. You only need to have a few ingredients, no cooking is required and the preparation takes less than 10 minutes.

Cooking Instructions
1.
Remove excess liquid from the block Silken Tofu (1) and plate. Store block tofu in the fridge until it is ready to use. Drain excess water from the tofu that had accumulated in the dish and cut into 6 equal pieces.
2.
Place the tofu on a serving bowl or plate and top with Scallions (1 stalk), Fresh Ginger (to taste) and Bonito Flakes (to taste).

Drizzle with Soy Sauce (to taste), about a ¼ teaspoon to each piece of tofu or to your taste. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
