If you use meat, cooking time will be the same. If you use shrimp, I would recommend using a Stock Pot instead and cook the shrimp for 5-8 minutes, preferably shell-on variety for more flavor. Variation for meats: beef, fish, shrimp. Variation for vegetables: Kale, Mustard Greens, Collard Greens, Horseradish, Daikon, Okra.
