Yields 2 9-inch cake or 24 cupcakes.

To make cupcakes: bake for 22-24 minutes.

Allow your cakes, or cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Many store-bought, pre-made frostings are "accidentally vegan" which means many of them don't have any dairy or eggs but make sure you read the ingredients list before you buy just to make sure it's vegan for your vegan chocolate cake.

For Gluten-free: Substitute the whole wheat flour for gluten-free flour at a 1 to 1 ratio.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Then grease 2 9-inch cake pans and line with parchment paper.
