Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Step 2
Place the
Large Portobello Mushroom (1)
on a parchment-lined baking sheet. With a spoon take out the core, and keep the stem aside, next remove the gilets.
Step 3
Drizzle
Olive Oil (as needed)
on top of the mushroom, and set it aside. Then roughly chop the mushroom stem and reserve for later.
Step 4
In a frying pan over medium-high heat, add
Pork Sausages (4)
, turn them every minute, and let them cook until they are cooked through and slightly browned. It takes about 1-2 minutes. Once done, remove from the frying pan and set aside.
Step 5
In the same pan, keep the juice that is left behind from the sausages, and add the chopped-up mushroom stem together with the
White Onion (1/2)
. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
Step 6
Meanwhile, chop the sausages, and transfer them to the pan. Turn off the heat and mix everything together.
Step 7
Next, take the pan off the heat, sprinkle
Mozzarella Cheese (1/2 cup)
on top, and mix to combine.
Step 8
Carefully spoon the mixture into the mushroom cap.
Step 9
Lastly, sprinkle more cheese on top.
Step 10
Place the tray into the preheated oven and bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for about 25 minutes, until it's baked all the way through.
Step 11
Remove from oven and serve immediately. Slice to serve. Enjoy!
