1 package Devil's Food Cake Mix
20 ounce Maraschino Cherry
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 cup Milk
2 teaspoon Almond Extract
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup Evaporated Milk
1/3 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Butter

STEP 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
STEP 2
In a mixing bowl, mix Devil's Food Cake Mix (1 package), Egg (2), Vegetable Oil (1/4 cup), Milk (1/4 cup), and Almond Extract (1 teaspoon) until well blended. Mix in Maraschino Cherry (20 ounce) and its juices.
STEP 3
In a greased and floured 9x13 baking dish, pour batter. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
STEP 4
In the last 5 minutes of baking cake, begin to make frosting. In a medium saucepan, combine Evaporated Milk (1/4 cup), Granulated Sugar (1 cup) and Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1/3 cup) and bring to a boil stirring continuously. Boil for one minute stirring and remove from heat.
STEP 5
Remove from the heat. Add in Butter (1/2 cup), Salt (1/3 teaspoon), and Almond Extract (1 teaspoon) until smooth.
STEP 6
Quickly spread over warm cake. Frosting will harden as it cools, so spread frosting on cake right away. Allow cake to completely cool on wire rack to allow frosting to harden.
STEP 7
Serve and enjoy!
