Step 1
In a shallow bowl, e.g. a pie dish, whisk together
Non-Dairy Milk (1 cup)

All-Purpose Flour (2 Tbsp)

Nutritional Yeast (1 Tbsp)
,
Maple Syrup (1 Tbsp)
,
Chai Spice (1/2 Tbsp)
,
Ground Flaxseed (1/2 tsp)
,
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
,
Salt (1 pinch)

Step 2
Slice up the
French Bread (6 slices)
in about 1 inch thick slices. Heat
Coconut Oil (to taste)
in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 3
Coat a slice of bread in the french toast liquid for about 10 seconds on each side. The bread should feel slightly heavier but not soaked completely through. That's the trick!
Step 4
Place the slice in the hot pan for a few minutes on each side, flipping with a metal spatula. Repeat with remaining slices of bread, until all the liquid is gone.
Step 5
Serve hot, drenched with
Maple Syrup (to taste)
, and topped with powdered sugar and strawberries, or whatever your favorite toppings are! Enjoy!
