Into a mixing bowl, add and mix the Self-Rising Flour (1 cup), and Butter (2 tablespoon). Then add in the Salt (1 pinch), Milk (1/4 cup), and Egg (1), and combine everything together.
Roughly divide your dough into 15 dumplings, and line them up on a greased baking tray.
Into a sauce pan, add the Caster Sugar (1/2 cup),Maple Syrup (2 tablespoon), and Water (1/2 cup). Combine everything together and bring the mixture to a boil.
Gently pour the syrup over the dumplings. Bake inside a preheated oven under 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) for about 30 minutes.
