Step 1
To the Water (1 1/4 cups) , add the Butter (3 Tbsp) , Vegetable Shortening (3 Tbsp) , Instant Dry Yeast (1/2 Tbsp) , and Granulated Sugar (1 tsp) . Mix together and let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Mix together the All-Purpose Flour (4 cups) , Granulated Sugar (3 Tbsp) , Salt (1/2 Tbsp) , Milk Powder (1/3 cup) .
Step 3
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the dry and wet ingredients. Knead the dough until nice and smooth. Grease a bowl and add the ball of dough. Spray the top of the ball as well. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours
Step 4
Take the dough and form it into a loaf. Place in a pan - I used a 9x5 inch loaf pan - and cover with a kitchen towel. Let sit for another 30 minutes in a warm place.
Step 5
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 6
Bake for 40 minutes or until nice and golden.
Step 7
Serve and enjoy!
