This creamy and spicy cajun parmesan shrimp pasta is a perfect dinner on a busy day. Cajun seasoning is always the best spice choice for shrimp. It’s not only the spiciness level that is in the perfect amount but also the flavors and aroma from other spices in the mix which make it the best choice to pair with the nutty and creamy flavor from parmesan cheese. Let’s satisfy your stomach with the tasty pasta!

Cooking InstructionsHide images
step 1
In a small bowl, add Medium Shrimp (12 oz) and Cajun Seasoning (1 Tbsp). Use a tong to mix until well combined.
step 2
In a pot boil water over medium-high heat, add Salt (1 tsp). Once boiling, add Fettuccine (8 oz). Cook pasta 1-2 less than the package directions.
step 3
While the pasta is cooking, make the shrimp. In a large skillet, heat Olive Oil (1 Tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once hot, add Garlic (2 cloves) and quickly cook until fragrant, then add the shrimp and toss for 2-3 minutes, until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set it aside.
step 4
Reduce heat to medium. In the same pan, add Butter (2 Tbsp). Once the butter is melted, add Heavy Cream (1/2 cup), Grated Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup), and Cajun Seasoning (1 tsp). Cook, stirring frequently for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly, then turn off the heat.
step 5
Use tongs or a slotted spoon to scoop the pasta into the pan and toss to combine (the extra pasta water from the noodles is necessary to make the sauce creamy, so if you drain the pasta before adding it make sure to save 1/4 cup of pasta water to use instead). Gently fold in the shrimp.
step 6
Garnish with Fresh Parsley (1 Tbsp) and more parmesan. Serve.
