Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

This shredded BBQ chicken recipe requires next to no effort, very little ‘hands on’ time & minimal pot washing. Yet still manages to deliver flavour in a big way. Go on, let the slow cooker do all the hard work for you!

1 cup Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup Italian Dressing
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

STEP 1
Place Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (900 gram) into the slow cooker & season both sides of each one with Salt and Pepper (to taste).
STEP 2
In a medium sized bowl, mix together Barbecue Sauce (1 cup), Italian Dressing (1/4 cup), Brown Sugar (1/4 cup), and Worcestershire Sauce (1 tablespoon) until smooth.
STEP 3
Pour the sauce into the slow cooker and mix until the chicken is completely covered.
STEP 4
Pop the lid on and cook on high for 3 – 3.5 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
STEP 5
Take one breast out at a time & shred in a bowl using the backs of two forks together. When it’s all nicely shredded, dump it back into the slow cooker for 10 – 15 minutes on warm to soak up all those lovely BBQ juices!
