Step 1
Into a bowl, add
Mayonnaise (2/3 cup)
,
Sweet Pickle Relish (1/2 Tbsp)
,
Ketchup (1 Tbsp)
,
Granulated Sugar (1/2 tsp)
,
Salt (1/2 tsp)
, and
Distilled White Vinegar (1/2 tsp)
. Mix until combined and set aside.
Step 2
Into a pan over low heat, add the
Onion (1)
. Gently cook down the onions until soft and caramelized which should take 30-40 minutes.
Step 3
Shape the
Ground Beef (1 lb)
into thin round burgers. Season the burgers on both sides with Salt and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
. Cook for 2 minutes on high heat.
Step 4
Before flipping, spread
Yellow Mustard (1/2 Tbsp)
on the patties and then flip. After 1 minute add
American Cheese Slices (2 slices)
and top with grilled onions.
Step 5
To assemble, add the mayo spread to the bottom
Hamburger Buns (2)
. Top with
Pickle Slices (2)
,
Tomatoes (2 slices)
,
Iceberg Lettuce (to taste)
, and the 2 beef patties. Place the other bun on top and enjoy!
