Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine
Unsalted Butter (1/3 cup)
Granulated Sugar (1/2 cup)
Sliced Almonds (1/2 cup)
Ground Nutmeg (1/2 tsp)
leaving 1 tsp of the orange zest. Reserve remaining zest for the glaze.
Flour your surface with
All-Purpose Flour (as needed)
, and roll out the
Pizza Dough (1 lb)
into a 12x16-inch rectangle.
Spread filling over the top, then cut into rectangles.
Tilt the loaf pan on its side and stack the dough pieces, then set it down.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the dough has cooked through.
While bread bakes, mix
Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1 cup)
, 2 Tbsp of Orange Juice, and
Almond Extract (1/2 tsp)
together with the reserved zest.
Remove from the oven. Let cool slightly, then remove from the pan and allow to cool completely on a rack.
Once cooled, drizzle with glaze, sprinkle with extra almonds, and serve.
