Makes about 4 litres of soup and freezes very well.

Cooking Instructions

HIDE IMAGES
Step 1
Heat Vegetable Oil (1 Tbsp) in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add Lean Ground Beef (1.5 lb) and cook, breaking apart until starting to brown. Drain any visible fat.
Step 2
Add Garlic (2 cloves) and White Onions (1 cup) and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Add Diced Tomatoes (1 can) , Beef Consommé (3 cans) , Water (2 cups) , Tomato Soup (1 can) , Carrots (1 1/2 cups) , Celery (1 1/2 cups) , Barley (1/2 cup) , Worcestershire Sauce (1 Tbsp) , Dried Parsley (1/2 Tbsp) , Bay Leaf (1) , Dried Thyme (1/2 tsp) , and Ground Black Pepper (1/4 tsp) .
Step 4
Stir to combine. Cover and simmer on low for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Serve and enjoy!
