Step 1
Make the sauce by mixing
Ketchup (1/3 cup)

Granulated Sugar (1/4 cup)
,
Water (3 Tbsp)
, and
Honey (2 Tbsp)
together.
Step 2
Cut
Tyson® Chicken Breasts (1 lb)
in half. Cut each half into 4 strips. Cut the strips into 1-inch cubes.
Step 3
In a bowl, marinate the chicken with
Salt (1/2 tsp)
,
Garlic Powder (1/2 tsp)
,
Ground White Pepper (1/8 tsp)
and
Water (3 Tbsp)
. Mix, cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
Step 4
In a bowl, whisk the
Egg (1)
,
Salt (1/4 tsp)
,
Garlic Powder (1/2 tsp)
, and
Water (1/2 cup)
together.
Step 5
Whisk in
Baking Powder (1/2 Tbsp)
,
Corn Starch (1/2 cup)
and
All-Purpose Flour (3/4 cup)
. Finally, mix in the
Vegetable Oil (2 Tbsp)
oil.
Step 6
Take the marinated chicken and mix. Most of the marinade should have been absorbed by the chicken. Pour batter into marinated chicken and mix the chicken with the batter.
Step 7
Heat
Vegetable Oil (1/2 cup)
to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and start frying. Work in batches and do not crowd the pan. Fry each batch for about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Occasionally move the chicken to ensure even cooking.
Step 8
Fry all of the chicken again in the 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) oil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Drain and set aside. The chicken should be moist inside and the breading should keep its structure.
Step 9
In a hot pan/wok, pour in the honey sauce. Heat the sauce until it begins to bubble and thicken, then turn down the heat. Add the chicken and lightly toss until coated.
Step 10
Sprinkle the
Sesame Seeds (to taste)
on top and enjoy with rice!
