Cut diagonal slices into the skin on both sides of the
Chicken Wings (2 lb)
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add
Cooking Oil (2 Tbsp)
, then add the chicken wings top side down. Sear for 3-5 minutes, until the skin is golden brown.
Flip the wings and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
Fresh Ginger (1/2 in)
, the light part of the
Scallions (3 stalks)
Shaoxing Cooking Wine (2 Tbsp)
. Cook for a bit to allow the alcohol to evaporate, 2-3 minutes.
Coca Cola (2 cans)
Soy Sauce (2 Tbsp)
Oyster Sauce (1 Tbsp)
. Turn to high heat and bring to a boil. If there is too much foam, skim off some. Turn heat to medium, then cover for 10-12 minutes.
Lemon Slices (1/2)
. Bring to high heat and stir until the sauce has been reduced to a thick, saucy consistency, then turn off the heat.
Sprinkle with chopped scallions and
White Sesame Seeds (to taste)
. Serve with
White Rice (to taste)
