*One cookie has 110 calories and 3 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full sugar-sweetened version which has 130 calories and 9 grams of sugar.

Optional:

- Try using white chocolate chips instead of semisweet chips.

- Add ¼ cup pecans or walnuts.

- Add 1 tsp of rum extract or 1 tsp ground chili pepper to spice it up.

- Try using gluten-free flour but add 1⁄4 tsp more baking soda.

Heat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, sieve the All-Purpose Flour (2 cups), Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1/3 cup), Salt (1/4 tsp), and Baking Soda (1/4 tsp); set aside.

In a large bowl, use a spoon or spatula to stir together the Unsalted Butter (3/4 cup), Truvia® Sweet Complete® Granulated All-Purpose Stevia Leaf Sweetener (1 cup), Vanilla Extract (1/2 Tbsp), Egg (1), and Water (1/4 cup).

Stir the dry flour mixture into the wet mixture one cup at a time, and beat with a mixer on low for a few minutes.

Once the dough is well mixed, stir in the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (3/4 cup).

Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons on an ungreased, parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Press down to flatten. (Use the bottom of a glass to make 2” circles).

Bake for 10 minutes.

Cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet.

Transfer to a rack and cool completely, about 15 minutes.
