Step 1
In a large pot, heat the
Vegetable Oil (1 Tbsp)
over medium heat. Cook the
Garlic (4 cloves)
and
Yellow Onion (1)
until they start to brown. Then, add the
Cayenne Pepper (1/4 tsp)

Celery Seeds (1 tsp)
, and
Bay Leaves (2)
. Cook for a few more seconds until fragrant.
Step 2
Add the
Tomato Sauce (1 can)
,
Vinegar-Based Carolina BBQ Sauce (2 1/2 Tbsp)
,
Sweet BBQ Sauce (1/4 cup)
,
Worcestershire Sauce (3 Tbsp)
, and
Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
. Cook for about 3 more minutes.
Step 3
Stir in
Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies (1 can)
,
Lima Beans (2 cans)
,
Sweet Corn (1 can)
, and
Turkey Stock (4 cups)
. Bring to a boil.
Step 4
Stir in
Turkey (13 oz)
and
Mashed Potatoes (8 oz)
. Simmer over medium heat uncovered, and occasionally stir for at least 1 hour or until a stew consistency forms, it may take around 1.5 hours.
Step 5
Taste for seasoning, add more
Salt (to taste)
and
Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
, if needed. Then transfer to a serving bowl. Serve with
Buttermilk Biscuits (to taste)
