step 1
Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease a springform pan.
step 2
Cream Butter (5.5 oz) and Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup), then add Eggland's Best Classic Eggs (3) one by one.
step 3
Mix in All-Purpose Flour (1 2/3 cups), Baking Powder (1 1/2 Tbsp), Vanilla Extract (1 tsp), and Milk (3 1/3 Tbsp) until smooth.
step 4
Divide the batter into two equal parts, and mix Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (2 Tbsp) into one half of the batter.
step 5
First pour the plain batter into the greased pan and spread evenly. Gently spread the cocoa batter on top of the plain layer. Lastly, evenly spread the Light Sweet Cherries (1 can) on top of it. Bake for 25-30 min. Let it cool completely.
step 6
In the meantime, prepare the cream. In a bowl, whip the Heavy Cream (3/4 cup) until stiff.
step 7
In a separate bowl, mix Quark (1 3/4 cups), Granulated Sugar (2 Tbsp), and Vanilla Sugar (1 packet). Fold in the whipped cream. Sprinkle in Cream Stabilizer (2 packets) (if using) and mix well. Spread evenly over the cooled cake.
step 8
Next, prepare the red glaze. In a small pot, mix Cherry Juice (1 cup), Granulated Sugar (1 Tbsp), and Strawberry Glaze (1 packet). Bring to a boil while stirring until thickened. Let cool slightly.
step 9
Pour the glaze over the cream layer and spread evenly.
step 10
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy your fairy tale-inspired treat!
