Peel and chop the Onion (1) .
Step 2
Chop the Green Bell Peppers (1 cup) .
Step 3
Into a pot, add Ground Beef (2 lb) . Cook until browned, chopping it up with a spoon as you go. Drain the fat from the pot.
Step 4
Add the onion and pepper. Cook over medium heat until softened slightly.
Step 5
Add Water (1 cup) , Ketchup (2 1/2 cups) , Chili Powder (3 Tbsp) , Ground Black Pepper (1/2 Tbsp) , Garlic Powder (2 Tbsp) , Onion Powder (1/2 Tbsp) , Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1/4 tsp) , Salt (1/2 Tbsp) , and Granulated Sugar (2 1/2 Tbsp) . Stir to combine.
Step 6
Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes or so so the bottom doesn't burn.
Step 7
Serve on hotdogs or as a side.
