Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
Let the
80/20 Lean Ground Beef (2.5 lb)
rest and come up to room temperature in a large bowl. Add
Liquid Smoke (1/2 tsp)
,
Paprika (1 Tbsp)
,
Onion Powder (1 Tbsp)
,
Garlic Powder (1/2 Tbsp)
and mix with your hands.
Step 3
Using your hands shape the ground beef into patties about 5 to 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
Step 4
Using 2 pieces of aluminum foil, one slightly smaller than the other one, fold the edges a few times over except for one side to create a pouch.
Step 5
Place a skillet over high heat. Season the top of each burger patty with a little bit of
Kosher Salt (1 Tbsp)
and
Coarse Black Pepper (1 Tbsp)
. Once you place them in the pan season the other side.
Step 6
Cook for 3 minutes and flip. Cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 7
Using the aluminum pouch, place the burger patties inside and continue to cook them in the oven for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven.
Step 8
Serve your burgers on you
