Step 1
Start by peeling, cleaning, and cutting the
Potatoes (3)
. Season with
Salt (to taste)
and begin to cook them in a pan with enough
Olive Oil (as needed)
to almost cover them.
Step 2
Heat another pan with
Olive Oil (as needed)
covering the bottom. Add the
Garlic (3 cloves)
and cook until it starts browning. Once the garlic starts browning add the
Mushrooms (5)
and
Serrano Ham (1/4 cup)
.
Step 3
In another bowl beat the
Eggs (5)
. Add the cooked potatoes and mix, letting them rest for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 5
Cover the mold you will be using to bake with strips of
Bacon (7 slices)
, covering as much as possible. Add the
Ground Beef (2.2 lb)
and pack towards the bottom until it reaches 1/3 of the height of the baking mold.
Step 6
Add the mushroom and ham mixture followed by slices of
Cheese (to taste)
and lastly, the potato and egg mixture. Finally, cover the top with the overlapping bacon.
Step 7
Place the load in your preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes.
Step 8
Remove, flip and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes to bake the top side.
Step 9
Watch carefully so as to avoid burning. Remove and serve.
