Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 2
Into a mixing bowl, add Red Pears (2) , Ground Cinnamon (1/2 Tbsp) , Chinese Five Spice Powder (1/4 tsp) , Granulated Sugar (3 Tbsp) , Molasses (2 Tbsp) , and Lemon Juice (1 Tbsp) . Mix well to combine.
Step 3
Pour Butter (1/4 cup) into the bottom of an 8 by 8-inch baking dish. Set aside.
Step 4
Into a mixing bowl, add All-Purpose Flour (1/2 cup) , Granulated Sugar (1/3 cup) , Baking Powder (1/2 tsp) , and Salt (1/4 tsp) . Whisk to combine.
Step 5
Add Milk (1/2 cup) . Whisk to combine, then pour the batter into the baking dish.
Step 6
Add the pears over top.
Step 7
Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is golden-brown.
Step 8
Let cobbler cool before slicing and serving.
