Step 1
Preheat Panini maker to "Grill" on "High."
Step 2
Drain
Canned Albacore Tuna (1/3 cup)
liquid from can and add the tuna to the mixing bowl. Add
Low-Fat Mayonnaise (1 Tbsp)
,
Garlic Powder (1/4 tsp)
, and
Salt (1/4 tsp)
.
Step 3
Drain and chop
Capers (1/2 tsp)
, along with the
Celery (1/4 cup)
and
Fresh Chives (1/2 Tbsp)
. Add them to the bowl along with the chopped
Italian Flat-Leaf Parsley (1/2 Tbsp)
.
Step 4
Add
Smoked Paprika (1/4 tsp)
, juice of the
Lemon (1/4)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
. Mix well and set aside.
Step 5
Lightly warm and toast
Bread (4 slices)
for a few minutes then remove from Panini maker. Add
Sharp Cheddar Cheese (2)
to cover one side of the bread.
Step 6
Lower Panini maker to Medium-High or Medium. Put one slice of bread back on Panini maker, place sliced cheese on bread, followed by tuna mixture, and finally by the last piece of bread.
Step 7
Close Panini maker and check on sandwich after 5 minutes to see if cheese is melted and sandwich is hot. Enjoy!
