Put the Linguine (12 oz), Cherry Tomatoes (2 1/4 cups), Red Onion (1), Sea Salt (1/2 Tbsp), Ground Black Pepper (1/4 tsp), Garlic (4 cloves), Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 tsp), Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (2 Tbsp), and Fresh Basil (2 sprigs) in a large pot.
